The Mississippi State University Building Construction Science student team won third place in the Region II Design Build competition in Peachtree City, Georgia, in spring 2018. The competition is sponsored by the Associated General Contractors.

The Building Construction Science degree program has some additional fees for materials, field trips, and other items that enhance our students鈥 education. The program strives to be able to offer comparatively low lab fees thanks to support from alumni and friends.
Students also need to purchase a variety of tools and materials to help them succeed in their studio coursework.
The Department of Building Construction Science at Mississippi State University is designed to prepare students for careers in construction and construction-related fields. The studio-based program is one of just two programs of its kind in the nation.
The 2019 annual Awards and Recognition Banquet for the Mississippi State University Building Construction Science Program was held on May 2 at the Mill Conference Center in Starkville.
To be eligible for building construction science scholarships at Mississippi State University, students must fill out the general scholarship application by the appropriate deadline.
The BCS Women鈥檚 Forum is an organization established to support females in the Department of Building Construction Science. The group discusses obstacles faced by women in the construction industry and supports networking and mentorship opportunities. All students are welcome to join.
