"As a studio artist, woodworker, and native Mississippian, I am working to add my voice to the rich vocabulary of the South through measured craft and familiar form. I aim to emulate great southern literature employing metaphor and symbolism to create exceedingly simple, stark reflections of agrarian landscapes that are simultaneously haunting and sublime."

Flucker served as the juror for the Fall 2020 exhibit, "The Light that Persists: Mississippi Artists in 2020 鈥 SAAC Juried Exhibition."
She was a winner in the Professional Photography category for her image titled "Six Feet From Grandma.鈥
From Aug. 28-Sept. 18, the free exhibition titled 鈥淭he Light that Persists: Mississippi Artists in 2020鈥 will be available for public viewing at the university鈥檚 Visual Arts Center Gallery, 808 University Drive in Starkville.
