The 2019 recipients of the Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED) Research Awards for the ¹ú²úBT, Art, and Design were honored at a luncheon on March 29 at the Hunter Henry Center.

CAAD at ¹ú²úBT
The ¹ú²úBT, Art and Design includes the School of Architecture, Department of Art, Department of Building Construction Science and Department of Interior Design. The mission of the ¹ú²úBT, Art and Design is to promote and engage students and faculty in the following: conceptualization, craft, media and technology, history and theory, aesthetics, and ethical issues associated with making artifacts in the world.
Fifth Annual Brasfield and Gorrie Interdisciplinary Student Design Competition
The Brasfield & Gorrie Student Design Competition is an annual interdisciplinary design competition composed of teams of students from each department in the ¹ú²úBT, Art and Design at Mississippi State University. The goal of the competition is to help students start to overcome preconceived ideas of the roles traditionally assumed by the various disciplines in the college. It also gives further exposure to sustainability, innovation, and LEED construction principles.
